Happy Halloween – Gayracula edition

GAYRACULA

One of the last great porn films, opening with monks in robes carrying Gayracula’s coffin, and Tim Kramer turning into a bat and flying away just before the monks are able to put a stake through his heart! Part of the action takes place in 1783, with Kramer having sweaty sex with Steve Collins (as the Marquis de Suede); but, afterwards, Kramer notices something on his neck that isn’t quite a hickey! Then in present day Los Angeles (1983), they meet up again. Purposely corny, it’s a fun film that actually has some great sex in it. (Meaning, invite your friends over to watch, have some laughs, then kick them out and re-watch the cum-slurping good parts again!)

Director: Roger Earl (1983)

Starring: Tim Kramer, Steve Collins (as the Marquis de Suede), Michael Christopher, Rand Remington, Randal Butler, Ray Medina (AKA J. W. Stone, Julio Campas), Max Cooper (aka Max Montoya), Doug Weston, Douglas Boston, David McNeil

I just rewatched Gayracula, I agree that it’s a great film from that era and I was able to identify one of the songs that plays through trial and error, thought you might be interested. When Gaylord (Tim Kramer) first arrives at the strip club in L.A., from 23:20 to 25:50 or so a song plays while the blond guy with the silver mask and harness dances onstage. The artist is Fashion, the song title is Dressed To Kill but it’s not the album version of the song, rather the “Fashionable Dub Mix” that’s on this Disconet 12″:

If you skip ahead on this clip below to around 3:50 you can hear the specific mix that plays in the film:

You know that I prefer finding these the old fashioned way, though I’m sure someone with shazam experience could locate some of the other stolen music by seeing what it finds. There’s an instrumental disco song from 30:00 to around 38:40, as well as a new wave-sounding tune from about 59:30 to 1:04:20 where the only lyrics I could make out sound like “do you wanna?” but those are still unknown to me. Finding one of these does give me a small sense of satisfaction, like latching into place one piece of a puzzle that has a million more little pieces in the box.

Also the gevi credits for this film are messed up, Doug Weston is only in the blood bank scene, not the one in the back room at the strip club; and in the scene in front of the fireplace, with Gaylord and Randy the virgin, Randy was Randall Butler (who went by Tony Kidd in Cousins and other films), not Rand Remington / Boris the manservant as gevi claims in the scene breakdowns. Some of the sex scenes are pretty quick and include what seems like it could be fake fucking, but the dicks are nice, especially Steve Collins, and some nice creamy cumshots too. Michael Christopher as a blond doesn’t look as bad as I thought he might, and Ray Medina shooting those balls out of his ass is worth the price of admission. And the intentionally corny plot actually kind of works if you just let go and enjoy it.
