I did not know Buck Owen modeled for anyone besides Target – these pics by Usher, from the April 1981 issue of Honcho. According to JohnnyLlama, Buck also appeared in Honcho 1979-05, Mandate 1979-02, and Manscape 1989-04.
sigh. I wish I owned this issue of HONCHO, as I’d have a better quality scan!

Yes, the Honcho April, 1981 issue is the only appearance of the Usher photos (that I am aware of) and your wish is my command BJ – I will send it to you this instant. Well, give me a few seconds.
After diving into Buck Owens a while ago, I determined that he only sat for two photographers: Jon Target & Usher (as BJ said) between 1979-1981. I don’t think he did anything after that. There were other re-appearances in other mags of the Target pics, but nothing new. If anyone knows differently, I’m sure we’d love to hear about it.
Too bad he didn’t do more!
