{"id":5708,"date":"2024-08-28T12:30:31","date_gmt":"2024-08-28T16:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bjland.ws\/wordpress\/?p=5708"},"modified":"2024-08-28T12:30:31","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T16:30:31","slug":"max-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bjland.ws\/wordpress\/2024\/08\/28\/max-2\/","title":{"rendered":"MAX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/files.bjland.ws\/blog\/HONCHO1979feb_0400.jpg\" title=\"\" vspace=\"1\" hspace=\"1\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I love this photo of Max, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjland.ws\/wordpress\/?s=%22big+max%22\" target=\"_window\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">(AKA BIG MAX)<\/a> from the February 1979 <I>Honcho<\/i>&#8230;. but&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>the original, from a year prior, in <I>THE PHYSICAL MAN #6<\/i> (1978), gives more space, negative space, black space, whatever you want to call it, to the image &#8211; HONCHO crops part of Max&#8217;s left foot; the original you can see his entire foot, and you can more easily see why the right foot is partially hidden &#8211; in the black cloth\/covering on the ground. The top image I scanned from my own copy of <I>HONCHO,<\/i> and I only cropped out the whited edge of the photo. Alas, my <I>Physical Man<\/i> image is from somewhere on the internet, not nearly as high quality, but definately, to me, the better framed version.
