I’m sure I’ve mentioned how some physique/muscle periodicals used an interesting technique to get around censors when trying to publish nudes, specifically frontal. They’d paint, in watercolor, over the naughty bits, a swimsuit or posing strap, or whatever – mail the magazine out, and the “in the know” customer would gently remove the color with a wet brush. great question! – and I’ve been struggling to find documentation for what I’ve saying – maybe it was in the printing process somehow – I’ve read it in multiple places years back, failed to note or bookmark, and now don’t know how to answer this – but I want to know more!
