I’ve been meaning to share these two Roy Dean pictures, of Leo Hooks / Merek Flint. They aren’t as flattering; as this great one, which you’ve posted – aesthetic and tasteful.
Don’t get me wrong! I’m a fan of Roy Dean’s wonderful photography – erotica, not porn.
But I wouldn’t put him in the same league, as Jim French. They often use the same models – virile and muscular. French is a lot more daring, varied, and imaginative.
Dean has a standard practice of shooting hot guys; outdoors, against rugged, natural, or grand scenery – arty. But he sometimes gets carried away, with the soft focus filters. To be fair though, French has also had lapses of taste – still a master!
I found this picture, on that pretentious, French website, “Homodesiribus”. It’s also from “Dean’s List”. Leo/Merek; doesn’t look his best here. The lighting is off. His face looks puffy, like a chipmunk. I also don’t like the way he’s positioned, on his knees.
His celebrated body even looks bad – awkward. I’m surprised Roy Dean, actually used this! : |
Here’s another Dean photo of Hooks/Flint, also found on that French website. It’s contained in his book “Reflections of Men”. Even though it’s better, I still found it problematic. Once again, the lighting is off, too glossy.
His face looks rather plastic, or waxy. Like a mannequin or a doll. Sometimes when a model’s face is symmetrically perfect, bad photography can make them appear artificial. At least his body looks great. It’s not “manscaped”.
It’s rather ironic, that as “Merek Flint”; he looks better and more natural, in his deliberately grungy pictures, for Zeus. In contrast, the two disappointing photos by Dean; seem fussy!
You’re right, BJ! He does have great thighs! His perfectly round, gorgeous face, makes his dark handsomeness, seem almost surreal.
I have to thank Johnny-My Pet-Llama, for this vivid, Zeus image – Bravo! The rich color is splendid! Merek; almost seems edible! I’m usually not into “bondage” photos; but I admit, Flint, looks spectacularly sexy here!
I love the contrast of the dark hair, on his head and body, to his ruddy complexion – those pink nipples! Wow, get a load of his thick bush, and armpits! And yes Johnny, his forearms DO look great! Even the “scruff” on his face, works! Hairy or smooth, this beast is HOT!

Remember, when Eric Ryan wore a cowboy hat; while dressed in a striped, turtleneck sweater? That was also tacky! Queers must always practice good taste and style, in context! No matter, how raunchy or nasty!

Now THIS; is how you light a model – glistening! Bravo, Jim French! Notice the sheen on his forehead, cheekbones, thighs, pecs, arms, shoulders, and muscles! *SWOON!* Even his dick looks cute! But I wonder if that shadow on his thigh, is genuine – artificial?
