Honestly, BJ! What’s with your memory? Or are you just trolling us? Scott Sinclair (Mr. Carson) was one of the recognizable, unidentified cast members (J.W. King, R.J. Reynolds), of the original “Closed Set (1980)”. I wish I could remember where you mentioned this, from a previous post. Alas, none of us are getting any younger! Thanks for the great pics! ; )

How I found this: did a web search for – “closed set” site:bjland.ws – and it was the third result for me (on ddg which is all I use).
Since neither BJ nor anybody else ever informed Woody at gevi about this (or maybe someone did and he felt like he needed more proof?) the film listing only shows J.W., R.J. and Joe in the cast, all uncredited:

I just had a flashback! I now remember that I first saw “Closed Set”, on a double-bill with “L.A. Tool & Die”; on a revival night at the Vista Theater, on Sunset Blvd. Seeing a movie packed with queers; always makes for a festive evening! This must have been, in the early to mid ‘80s.
How ironic, that I viewed both of Scott Sinclair’s porn credits, on the same bill. And now we’re talking about it, decades later – full circle! Sinclair’s looks are pretty generic, yet I’ve always remembered him. A good voice, acting ability, and personality, go a long way in porn!
“Closed Set” is far from my favorite porn film. I remembered being mostly bored by it. It’s too clinical and phallic centered. I need faces and personality! I’ve never had a desire to view it again, on video.
I’ve grown to appreciate it however, because of the added information, I’ve since learned. Joe Gage on his website declared, that one of the cast members, was a son of a famous celebrity.
This was probably the first time I saw R.J. Reynolds, in action – handsome! He’s prominently featured here. I believe it was he, who first got J.W. King started in porn, with this film (his first?).

I think you’re right as far as that being a great face shot of Scott, at 4:15 of the clip you found. It was hard for me to tell from the longer clip BJ left in his post last year, but around 10 minutes into that one it looked like him down on the ground floor for a bit there too. Now I’m curious who the famous celebrity’s son was but I’m resisting the urge to follow another rabbit trail so early in the day.

Obsessed glad to have helped around the edges in finding where BJ said this. Which was only because a bare bones version of the original blog still exists online. If I wear a trenchcoat and fedora would I have to wear pants too? As long as I don’t go sit in a movie theater where I might get arrested anymore.
But getting back to the pertinent questions about Closed Set, it’s an undeniably hot film. And the dubbed in voices at time whispering phrases like ‘suck the juice right out’ along with the other classic rock tunes emphasizes the erotic nature of the visuals. But it’s so frustrating how they filmed it! A few faces of the guys sucking cock but practically everybody else is shown from the chest down 90% of the time, so we can’t tell who they are without looking for clues or brief glimpses.
The post BJ linked in his last comment is from November 2025 and has two clips, I watched the longer one and here’s my opening bid as to who I may have seen. Aside from RJ Reynolds who was hoovering up all the dick and cum he could get in his mouth while lying back on that weight bench:
* 2:20 – is that Sam Benson sucking the other group of guys? Kinda looks like him
* 3:50 – RJ is sucking a guy in a blue button down shirt with words on the back, my hunch was that this was Joe Gage
