from Wakefield Poole‘s The Bible (1974)also of note, this handsome gentleman did work for Target Studios under the name “Brand”, and was in a brief steam room scene in the film A Very Natural Thing. I have yet to figure out what name he used in that film – anyone have a copy and can check the credits? He’s only on the screen for what seems like just a few seconds, and nothing explicit is shown, but he has sex with 2 other guys, and, well, he’s all wet, and goateed, and, GRRRR!

Wow! That was him in the steam room? I saw “A Very Natural Thing” on a double bill with “Saturday Nights at the Baths” at my neighborhood revival house. I lied about being seventeen to get in; both films were rated “R”. These two films were the first films I saw that had explicit homosexuality. I never heard about bath houses before. The only other film I saw that came close to its male nudity at that time, was “Women in Love”. I must admit I was pretty nervous. I never was in a place that was packed with so many queers. I felt like fresh meat. Bo White who played Adam in “The Bible”, was also in “A Very Natural Thing”. But of course, you already knew that. At that same theater, I later saw “Outrageous!” “Word is Out” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. Quite an education.
