He was hot.
I wish Richard and Clay would have made dozens of movies together. They were so hot together. I remember reading interviews with Richard Locke in which he admitted his great attraction to Clay Harper. It showed in their films and stills.
Do you mean Matt Harper (AKA WIll Seagers) who’s in the picture with Locke, or Clay Russell, who appeared with Locke in both El Paso Wrecking Corp., and Heatstroke ?
I don’t have the exact quote to hand, but to paraphrase Richard Locke (a.k.a. God): “Yeah, you could never get Clay Russell out of a uniform. But somehow I always managed!”
I can’t remember where I found this, it quite possibly could have been through your blog (in which case you already know about it). But this is an interesting interview that Richard did with with his brother Robert Locke in 1978, here’s the link:
