Heatstroke Joe Gage music in gay porno

Porn Got Me My Record Deal

WOW! WOW! WOW! – just watched this, soooo cool! Man Parrish and the story behind his music for Joe Gage’s Heatstroke. Just one of about 40 chapters in this series, Man Parrish Stories, that he put together last summer after deciding writing a book wasn’t goona happen, why not just make, and publish, himself telling his stories? Can’t wait to watch more!

wasn’t it, though? can’t wait to watch others; but for obvious reasons I watched the “porn” story first!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I really only knew about him from Heatstroke and I didn’t know what an amazing life and career he has had. I am working my way through the rest of the videos. He has some incredible stories.

I got to meet him back in the early 2000’s when he had a night at The Cock called Sperm – amazing DJ, and sweetheart. Some of his porn soundtrack work is getting re-issued (actually, other than Heatstroke, it was never commercially available, but he did the soundtrack to Joe Gage’s HANDsome, and others. Need to post more on that!

I saw a few of these when he posted them last summer, once you get used to the way he speaks and how his mind works they are pretty interesting. The ones where he talks about other celebrities were the ones I enjoyed the most, be it David Ogden Stiers on MASH or his memories of Boy George and Madonna. It’s also too bad that as much music as he has made that people have heard, he seems to be a bit of a Bad Luck Betty in getting much (if any) of the royalties from creating the music that he did. Somebody got paid a lot of money for Hip Hop Be Bop back in the day, but I guess it wasn’t him.

That does look interesting, and I’d like to hear that cassette someday, both the music and the spoken words by Roy Garrett. You don’t have it do you? Or maybe the better question would be, “you didn’t have it, did you?” because I know you’ve parted with a lot of what you used to have.

Dark Entries is the label that released the Patrick Cowley albums over the past few years, the music from the Fox Studios releases was remastered and sounds great on CD. Probably even better on vinyl.
