another post languishing in “drafts”; this one’s purpose was to post a couple of lesser seen J.D. Slater scenes.
I thought Slater’s appearance in HANDsome (1981) was his first porno movie. But I confused “presenting” with “introducing”, and according to Slater’s GEVI listing, he had 3 films released in 1981; so at the least, it’s one of his earliest. No matter, I love ALL of HANDsome!
Then we have A Night Alone with Al Parker released in 1988, but culled from older unreleased material. Doesn’t it have a Wanted (1980) feeling to it?
ahhhhh, maybe this helps my position that this is a scene from Wanted – “special guest director Steve Scott” – what other Scott film could be in this collection?

If Al’s scene with J.D. was from Wanted it would have to have been either another flashback, or after Al and Will Seagers broke the leg shackle connecting them. Besides I don’t think Wanted would have been within Surge Studio’s vault for Al to have been able to use it the same way – unless he maybe bought the rights to it. It’s a curious scene in an already curious film, relying mostly on unreleased footage from different sources for the bulk of it. With Al (and sleepy Doogie the dog) doing solo things to himself while watching the clips on his VCR, in his and Steve Taylor’s house in Hermosa Beach before Al moved out. By 1988 both Steves had died and according to the blurb in the gevi listing Al wanted to branch into safer sex depictions, which he would eventually do despite being ahead of the curve on that angle.
At some point in the past few years I asked Woody to correct a couple of glaring errors on the gevi listing for Night Alone, he mistakenly credited Al and Daniel Holt for the scene from your second clip. And claiming that it was J.D. in the scene from Rangers. Probably relying on the Man Net review at the bottom of the page which does the same thing. That’s how my musical note wound up there too, about the Cat Stevens and Forbidden Overture songs.
If anything the highlight (for me) was finally getting to see Al, Daniel and Zeke (who I know you’ve talked about here) in the scene from Rangers that is only teased in the final cut. Though it was pretty similar to the Al-Daniel-Chris Allen scene especially with Al tying up his dick and balls and having the other guys slide their cocks through the gap, I enjoyed that part the most aside from the then-present-day Al footage and the little bits of what he was watching on TV. I can only assume that test audiences reacted negatively to Zeke being such a big bear of a guy or else he recognized how similar that scene was to the one with Chris.
