Hot Type

Tricking On The Job – starring Mike Trainor (aka Duncan, aka Mr. Footlong) and Nick Vallano. I’ve posted before on these guys, when i wasn’t quite sure who they were, and now I do, and was hoping to post the pornoclip, but alas, don’t have it and can’t find it!

We do have YorjYefferson’s Tricking review – but the link to the film is no longer working. So, as you may have guessed, this is another “drafts folder” post that I just have to finish up and post, despite not having the clip. It started off because I found several individual photos for sale on line from the film (at like $35 a pop!) and knew I had a digital version of the magazine, Hot Type. (The “tricking” takes place at a printing press, where they are typesetting, hence the HOT type?)

and of course, y’all remember when we discovered that Nick Vallano is the same actor/model as Mike Mann, right? (there will be a quiz)

Oh yeah, I do remember this one. The scenes from the collection I enjoyed the most were the first one with Jack Burke (I liked him a lot) and then Derrick Stanton doing that cute finger walk across the desk towards Doug Lansing in the job interview part. Derrick even showed up in the comments below the review with a few memories of what it was like filming for Nova, quick one day shoots as he said.

I found the exact same clip as I had used for the review, and replaced the link in the top section. I know it’s the same because of the graphics at the very beginning which shows the user name the uploader had on the other site. He upgraded the picture quality and made it hi def, it almost saturates the color at times but it does look splendid. And when the original site took a bunch of his clips down he just found other sites to upload them to. So check the review again where you’ll find a working link now, plus a few more picture links including one back to this post for Mike and Nick.

I was gonna ask you something else but I’ll send you an email about that later.

THANKS! – folks follow the reddit link for the video – sidenote, while I DID download it, I’m not posting it yet. Quality is “OK” can’t tell if its the original poster, or the website, but perhaps it looks decent on a tablet or phone, but on this PC, meh. (but again, thanks – rather have it than not, and someday, maybe see if the Bijou Video “re-master” is any better)

the music! what old movie did they lift that gosh-awful soundtrack from!

Glad you let me know that the clip had expired, happens a lot on older reviews and I’m not very good at checking, and that you were able to get it. That process he uses to upgrade the picture quality leaves it looking a bit off, crisp and clear yes but too much brightness or something else I’m not sure how to describe. I mean this is better than a fuzzy 240p clip (which I couldn’t even find that on the usual sites I check) but I understand you ‘holding out for a hero’ as Bonnie Tyler sang about.

And I didn’t recognize the Tricking music at all, guessed that it was some film score with a classical style that was added in when converted to videotape. By the way a specific comment Derrick S. left on that review, seems to tie into the pics you have here – he mentioned remembering that the still photos were taken on a “big Hasselblad camera.” I don’t know a lot about photography but I just found the page linked below which mentions that brand, and may have info that interests you or other readers here:
