A Private Shooting (1980) – AKA Muscle Hustle found in The Big Surprise – which apparently went thru various edits/releases – this seems to be full version, with updated title intro (see link to YorjYefferson’s review below for more info) Not sure why Buster is the cameraman, but it works – and we can then have the double entendre for A Private Shooting.

Oh yeah this one. I can tell by the graphics at the beginning that your clip derives from the remaster released in the 00s, and not the original. I did find one of the scenes from the 1980 videotape source but it looks about as you might expect. grainy and less sharp. But it would still be interesting to do a comparison and see if any of the scenes were shortened or whatever other changes Catalina made. I like the sort of film-within-a-film aspect to seeing Buster holding an early portable camera, while the main camera recorded them both. And Buster’s cumshot dripping down the mirror.
Someone came by the comments of my review and left more info there, about Richard Morgan and Mark Reynolds. And how they created Cali. Choice for Buster which explains why the only other films and scenes associated with it had him in them. And also said he was working on the documentary about Billy London that just premiered at this year’s SXSW, and looks to be quite interesting.

Regarding Buster I also think it’s fascinating that he ran for the newly formed WeHo city council in 1986, and got a few hundred votes but not enough to make the cut with the three top candidates. It’s also pretty interesting about the mixup between him and the original Buster in that mid 70s loop where he looks so much younger, because the guy who became known as Buster was Bill in those loops. He was born in 1956 and would have been 19-20 when he did those, probably on a break or just before his military service.

Sort of similar to how Colt introduced their new print model “Bill Flagstaff” around 1994 and then he became so popular doing videos for other companies under the alias Ken Ryker that they changed the name in their promotional material later.
I’m also interested in Chuck Niles. Buster is beautiful and the quintessential twink, but I’m curious about Chuck Niles as a performer and how he is referred to as “Tony” in some promotional material. GEVI doesn’t acknowledge this even though a photo posted there says “Tony.” I just wanna’ know where Tony comes in.
To be fair, I know that Woody is so busy entering data to keep up with all the new releases that you have to give him a break. I don’t know how he does it! I just love that he does.

on that note, I find it hard to believe Chuck Niles – “Tony” only did one film – perhaps another under a different name? Or even some photos?
