The Rollo Films have not been digitally remastered; virtually every Rollo film has the same problems even in MP4 format. They need to be converted digitally & digitally remastered to clean up the film’s defects.
I am not even certain who own the Rollo Films now; there were so many various smaller porn companies throughout the 1970’s-1990’s.
I absolutely loooove “groove-tube,” except it should be used to describe a cock, not a butthole. Too funny though. The fact that they’ve used it to describe Jon King’s ass makes it funnier. Although I bet it was a groove-tube! I need to find a way to use that the next time I talk to someone.
That second pic of Daniel Holt and Jon King is very hot. That’s a great pairing. The video clip was hot and I loved seeing Jon suck on that dick. It would’ve been better with sound though. Instead of that mostly bad music. Who decided to film all the sex without sound? And is it clever to have all the scenes in the same room and only change the lighting, or is it just lazy? Not great lighting either. I think the idea was to create a sense of fantasy. But did it work? I had to turn the music down- too distracting. It gets hotter the longer you watch though.
They must’ve had some kind of camera on a crane also, which produced some good (and some bad) results. Seems like most of the filming was bird’s eye POV. Or maybe they were just on a ladder? Sometimes the camera was too far above.
Very well-matched, those two, in any case. A pleasure to watch. I guess they decided to shoot the promotional/magazine shots in that same office. It works better to be honest. Maybe the lighting is better? There was a lot of shadow in the actual scene. And you’re right, BJ, the film quality isn’t great. Do you think the poor quality was present in most Rollo Productions or specific to Sid Roth? I tend to think of Rollo Productions as a decent studio, but I may be evaluating them more by the related magazines than on the films. Perhaps they just need to be remastered as David said?
“Who decided to film all the sex without sound?” judging from the quality of the “repartee” that we hear from our hosts, not sure they could’ve handled live sound for the sex scenes!
