Pierce Daniels (1980’s) was versatile; he bottoms in Rodeo (1985), but tops in Nightcrawler (1985).
The sets are impressive in Rodeo to give the illusion they are at a rodeo, but like most 1980’s films, it was a studio set. They even had outside sets created on the inside studio because they probably could not get the permits to film outside or know someone with a private ranch.
I’ve been looking for a free clip of Sex Waves, the gay title anyway. Apparently there’s a straight porn with the same name that starred Traci Lords, not sure how old Traci was when she made it so it may be among her titles it’s best not to even go looking for (for those who want to see that).
Partly I want to see the gay Sex Waves because it’s one of Billy London’s few film roles, but also other guys from the cast (Eric Manchester, Jack Lofton and Pierce Daniels), actually pretty much everybody who’s listed I’ve al least heard of.
If you click on the GayDVDEmpire link at the gevi page it takes you to a page where it can be streamed for a price, and which also has many screencaps of the four scenes. Which each look like two man pairings (and a fourway at the end) so a few of those guys must have doubled up at least one scene.
But! (Butt?) The first half of that clip with the preview, starts out with Kevin Young and likely Jack on the boat. And that scene is in the original film. But why is there a threeway with what looks like Butch Taylor and possibly Tony Davis fucking on a motorcycle stuck on there too? This must have been a re-release done by Le Salon since neither of them seem to have been in the original (and based on the clue from the last half of the clip, the Le Salon ad).
I expected NO INTEREST in the film, let alone anyone having heard of it! And yup, that is definitley Tony Davis
for those who don’t want to click thru n zephyr’s link – here’s the other promo clip
on, 1989! and those special effects!
dammit!! I just tried to figure out which movie that Butch Taylor Tony Davis might’ve been – Tony has been in 5 Panther Production videos – Butch – none! They’re been in the same movie 5 times, and… no no, no, not going down that hole!
The only match I found for when Butch and Tony were in the same scene together (not just the same film) was GI Mac which I don’t think I’ve seen before:

And that only indicates a two man pairing not a threesome. Though the listing does look fairly incomplete as is so it might just be missing, ‘it’ being whoever that third blond was from your first preview clip. (blind guess, Cal Jensen maybe?) But it still doesn’t explain why highlights from that scene wound up in the preview for Sex Waves if it wasn’t in the film itself, unless maybe that scene was axed before SW came out for some reason.
Based on that second clip and the screenshots from the link within the gevi listing I can assume the following for scene breakdowns for Sex Waves:
– scene 1: Jack Lofton & Kevin Young [on a boat]
– scene 2: Billy London & (Michael Cummings I think) [in a boxcar]
– scene 3: Lou Cass & Kevin Young [in a room with a bunch of t-shirts and stuff on the wall and a window]
– scene 4: Eric Manchester, shaggy Pierce Daniels …
Plus two other guys in scene 4, whichever one wasn’t in scene 2 with Billy would be one of them so Chaz Holderman I suppose. In a construction type of space with fog or smoke. Billy is the blond who walks around before and after the sex scenes and seems to be the thread connecting them, maybe scenarios he’s imagining.
Now I kind of want to see it even more, I’ll keep checking my usual haunts and let you know if I ever find it.
no, not in G.I. Mac – not just cuz GEVI shows it as just the pair, but it’s a Michael Zen film and looks much better! Also, my notes from when I sold it in 2002 shows they are in a trench for their scene. I regretted selling that video, and re-purchased it! Then, when finally had the technology to digitize, the tape failed! long story short, I need a digital copy of that Zen film.
Wow, takes me back to the ’80s. With that zagged lines and pixelation. And the colors. The hair! The joys of ’80s video.
Love Butch Taylor. I could fall down that hole. But NOPE!
