Looking for something Old Reliable related, went to the old hard drive and did a search – remembered many years ago when there were decent porn pics on eBay, I’d save them; but without proper ID’s, I just knew they were Old Reliable so I have a couple hundred with file names like Old_Reliable_099, Old_Reliable_172, etc.

(this is an old “draft” that mid-way through I realized I was barking up the wrong tree – see below)

Michael Ram (AKA Bull Matthews) and Matthew Marks (shown here) is not the same person – and while they appeared in a few of the same movies ( The Spirit Is Willing, Men On The Lose, Hard, Naked Lunch , and The Spirit Is Willing) they don’t seem to have ever been in the same scene together.

So of course I got distracted from the original task and I stumbled upon a couple pics of who I was pretty certain was Bull, pulled them for a future post, went to confirm it was Bull Matthews but, um…. hmmmpf. No stache – oh wait, there’s one. But no tattoo – And the GEVI link had no Old Reliable credits…. One pic not included in the old hard drive was clearly from an Old Reliable ad, low rez, but “Matthew” next to the photo. So… who ya gonna, um,

check over at Vintage Old Reliable – checked Bull, then Matthew, then we get a single post – but its him – Matthew Marks boom! He even had a couple of the same stills. Of course check Vintage Old Reliable!!! How can I do an Old Reliable post without doing that??!!



OK, so look –
all those pics above with the file name “BULL_old_reliable” are not bull, but Matthew. got it?

drafts folder – again! can’t think of this guy’s name – although the video is called “Little Devil” – I suppose Bearworm over at Vintage Old Reliable would know?

update: thanks to ZEPHYR, we have his ID! and a quick search, some pics, and yes, we now know why “Little Devil”!

Then what happened? I got a chance to read the entire article – David Hurles: The Outlaw Who Invented Rough-Trade Porn by Kelvin Blunt – and a bunch of stuff jumped out at me!! – like I had no idea David Hurles actually did nude modeling! Kinda makes sense, being in front of the camera can give you insights into being behind the camera – but then I read this incredible part of Blunt’s article:

And then what happened?? A little internet search, and I see someone sold the dang thing recently and I nab the cover photo and … then? I searched my old harddrive and discovered I actually owned the publication, and sold it in 2005!! I managed to scan only a couple pics, but I think I have David’s – perhaps he is “Bill” – case 1103???


long-time readers may remember that while I have sold a shitload of porn over the years, and only recently began to keep decent quality scans of the magazines, I almost always kept the html file I worked on before uploading the thing to the eBay or other auction sites. (What was that pre- Adult Auctions Only site?) And not only did I have a couple of mediocre images, but also a description which included this:
