As you mentioned in your first post about Wakefield’s passing, it seemed like there wasn’t a single mention of it in what I consider the press, at large or even specifically gay related. At least nothing that I could find either. Glad you found this and linked to it, and that the B.A.R. saw fit to have someone write it up.
Was “always say yes” a personal motto for Wakefield Poole? I’m definitely going to look for his autobiography.

I ALWAYS SAID YES: THE MANY LIVES OF WAKEFIELD POOLE is the name of the Poole documentary (2013) – I highly recommend it!
