I had to update my Mark Brandon (AKA Mark Wolf) profile to include this magazine, Lyndon’s Men of Action No. 1 (1982) (not to be confused with Men of Action – ONE (1978)) w/Clay. Despite the awesome cover with the pair, the magazine contains a mere 10 pages of photos of them. I’d love to know the story behind the Action Male, Men of Action, Men of Action in Bondage (which you’d think this one would be part of) magazines… who the photographer (s) was/were – meanwhile –
and poor blond, mustached Clay – not a lot of face shots – too busy being Mark’s toy!

Excellent! Mark Brandon could’ve played Hercules in the movies.
I cannot get enough of old Hercules movies from the 1960s. If only ALL physique photography men could’ve gone on to play hunky mythological heroes in old 1960s films made in Italy. If only…

I know of the Action Male series pretty well (Mark Wolf was in #4) from 1977 & 1978; Men of Action series also 1977-78 (which I thought was spun off from Action Male and that Action Male was a studio name – also had Mark Wolf); and I know a little about Men of Action *Photo Album* Nos 2 & 3 1981/1982 (#2 featured Mark Wolf among others). Part of the same thing or something else? Mark Brandon (as Mark Wolf) was featured a lot in all of these. There’s a lot to unpack there. I think they are all connected Maybe even the one above. The initial publications were mid-late 1970s. Then something happened later in the early 1980s such as the original Action Male studio was bought out and the 1982 mags were re-issued compilations? But I don’t know much about the Men of Action in Bondage series. Wish I did!
