It’s hard for me to think of Bob Shane without remembering him as the bopping, bored receptionist at the sex club in Heatstroke who turns away the two guys (who are perfectly fine-looking but apparently not up to his standards).
i LOVE LOVE LOVE that scene – its part of Gage’s “triology” of commentary on gay culture – Fred Haltsed and the homophobe in El Paso (think crashing thru the window); Richard Locke and the homophobe in L A Tool (sparring in the men’s room); and the gays discriminating amongst themselves at the sex club in Heatstroke
