We’ve discussed Round Up before, and my love of Falcon Model 1 – but here we got what I hope is the full 17 & 1/2 minutes film. I wonder how it compares to the version contained in Bijou Video’s Male Stampede, and Falcon’s compilation of sorts – Round Up – maybe they are all the same, but this seemed like a nice copy.

Two Days in a Hot Place (1977) – Director: Lucas Severin – This scene – Luke Hanson and Ty Winslow (AKA Richard Locke)
Luke Hanson’s car runs out of gas and he’s soon picked up by rugged stud Ty Winslow who takes him back to his desert shack for a can of gas and mutual blowjobs in an outdoor shower. Of course, now that I’ve watched more than once, I’m kinda concerned about what happened to the other hitchhiker!
Not the best quality, but worth a look – isn’t looking at Richard Locke always worth it? Re-issued on DVD with two other films, never a good sign for quality when it’s also under 10 bucks!
music/soundtrack – – I hear Memphis, Tennessee by Sandy Bull; but I also hear what I am sure is soundtrack/sounds from Fred Halsted’s L.A. Plays Itself!!!
I know I should do a better quality scan of the actual magazine – stored in a porn box in the porn basement – but alas, lazy, and this will have to do for now – from In Touch #61 a quick photo of Mr. Grant with a shorthand telling you to get more pics of him in In Touch #45, and Too Hot To Handle #8

Keep scrolling, and you’ll see it was near impossible to find pics of Dave Daniels that didn’t include Mike Morris – (not that I’m complaining about Mike Morris!) – but Dave did do more films than Mike (who was in Desert Fox, Joe Gage’s El Paso Wrecking Corp, and of course his COLT film, Summit Meeting) – Dave’s 9 in 5 years compared to Mike’s 3. And Dave didn’t appear (as far as I’ve been able to tell) in many magazines, (not being a COLT model like Mike) – perhaps only the 2 related to Desert Fox listed below. And just some photos from ads. Of course, I’m happy to update if I get additional info. Oh, yeah, I have a Dreamer brochure (somewhere) that should have a pic or two of Dave.

The Kid from L.A. – (1977)
Billy Preston, Vangelis, and as director Steve Scott enjoys, ambient sounds of traffic while Dave and Duff Paxton get it on in the back of Dave’s van. Is it me, or does the inside of this van look HUGE?
OMG!!! how many times have I watched EPWC, and never noticed Stan Braddock (not to be confused with Stanley Braddock) appears twice in the film?????? And I’ve even posted clips both times he appears – at Billie’s Bar-B-Que – (“she ever see you kiss a man?” – oops, I digress) and then the “fight scene” just before the – Fred Halsted, the BOY and His Dad scene – this first clip, not on most VHS or DVD copies, includes the window-smashing portion of the scene. Later, Gene (Fred Halsted) gets hired and made foreman after taking down the foreman, who coincidentally happens to be the homophobe from the bar! who knew??? (OK, OK, JEFF in the comments knew, and pointed it out back in August).
and another thing! Stan, of course, never has sex in the movie – despite that “have a seat” mustache he’s sporting – such a shame – so thanks, Jeff, belatedly, for setting me strai… er, pointing this out!
And another thing, I was just flipping through an issue of IN TOUCH from 1978, noted the EPWC article that I’d need to get around to reading – and of course just went back and yes, Stan is indeed that guy in both scenes. always learning something new at Porno Academy, even if it’s old.
