PAEAN Studios Palm Drive Video pornstar - videography

Brutus

who you may remember from such films as:

Vincent for PAEAN Studios, Vito Milan for FOX Studios, and Brutus for COLT and Palm Drive Video. The first 3 studios all late 1970’s (even though COLT did publish a few pics in the 1980’s – see below), and then his work seemed to focus on Drummer (Wings Video I would include with Drummer) and Palm Drive. According to Jack Fritscher, Brutus was the most frequent model ever featured on the cover of Drummer. Sounds like another research project, as I have yet only to find the 2 featured below!

who you may remember from such magazines as:

  • COLT MEN 4 (1978)- “Hot Cop”
  • Pander (1979) – Vincent – from PAEAN Studio
  • Men of Action No2 (1979) – Vic – Action Male Studios
  • PAEAN 3 (1979)
  • NUMBERS (1980) – cover model “Hot Cop”
  • Drummer 70 (1984) – Brutus
  • Manifest 21 (1984) – Brutus – 8-page spread by Jim Wigler
  • Mach 7 – (1984) – 9-page spread by Jim Wigler (pics may have reappeared in Drummer 159
  • Drummer 78 (1984) – Brutus – 8 page spread as “The D.I.” – Say Hello to the Compound
  • Drummer 83 (1985) – cover model; Brutus – 5 pages
  • COLT Videoview (1986)- Brutus
  • Drummer 144 (1990) – “I, Brutus: Muscle-Cop Road Warrior,” poem
  • Drummer 157 (1992) – Brutus
  • Colt Calendar Men 4 (1994) – Brutus

So it would appear that Brutus and Brutus (Colt) are in fact one in the same, good to know. That was what I assumed after the previous Palm Drive Video posts you made but I wasn’t for sure about that, he seemed to have different looks. And a number of pics where his face was partially obscured, either in shadow or maybe by a hat or shades.

oh, and there could be more – According to Jack Fritscher, Brutus was the most frequent model ever featured on the cover of Drummer. I think I’ve found 2 or 3 plus some internal pics…

and yet another magazine to add to Brutus’s pornography – Mach 7 – (1984) – 9-page spread by Jim Wigler (pics re-appear later in Drummer ads

I feel like I remember this profile, but I must be thinking of another Brutus post, because there’s no way I would have seen this and not commented.

It’s an amazingly complete profile. Especially for a model/performer whose career was so disjointed. You’ve connected all the dots really well. And there’s a lot here that I don’t have in my notes/folder. He was “Vincent” for Paean? Really? Wow.

I hate it when I miss great BJLand posts like this! This was in 2022. Was I here in 2022? I swear I was here. How did I miss this?

And you keep adding to it! I’m so glad I noticed your latest addition.

I am gagging on this and it is goooood. Thanks BJ!

good catch! I’m adding Tightropes 17 given that the description seems to be from a Drummer ad – but of course the compilation, meh. And notice those TWO Palm Drive entries??? Nothing odd there!~

As far as Zeus photos – can’t say I’ve seen anything of theirs from the 90’s, let alone with Brutus – there’s something odd about the video releases not starting until the late 80’s, but the magazines are late 70’s into mid 80’s – and are there any mags that had videos or vice versa?

2nd look at the GEVI page – most of the ZEUS references are for early 80’s ads in Drummer – but the ads are for magazines! someone has to know how the same name/logo was used in two eras, two product lines….

sooooooooooooooooooo…. been trying to confirm this newest entry, Tightropes 17, by looking for the ad in Drummer – BUT BUT BUT –

looking at the Zeus ads in issue 147-154 – you see the above identical adds – notice anything odd?

by issue 155, they’ve changed their ad, and no sign of Tightropes 17

Meanwhile Palm Drive had been advertising I Brutus Muscle Cop Road Warrior since issue 147
