What I really would like to have are memories of John or a book about Fox Studio / Pacific Sun – something like that has been published about Colt, Falcon or Catalina.
But there won´t be anything like this, especially since Bruno Gmünder stoped existing.
The link to that storage unit interview was exactly why I came here, it explains how Dark Entries was able to get the master tapes of Patrick Cowley’s unreleased music that had before, only been heard in the Fox Studios films. Because John held onto them and let DE remaster them it became the School Daze and Muscle Up collections released last decade, which expanded the reach of what styles of music Patrick was capable of making considerably.
John Traynor (John Coletti) & Bill Harrison (Ronny Shark) founded Fox Studio; both died from AIDS in 1991. They were a long time couple & business partners.
John Coletti is still with us and living in Cathedral City, CA. I’ve known him since he was a bartender at Studio One. He’s posted to the Studio One group on Facebook.

Coletti in print; is pretty much familiar, as the result of TWO, major photosets. His photos with Playgirl; are pretty easy to identify – hot air balloon. But no one else; seems to give the proper, major credit to his other one! That includes YOU – honestly! (You know how I love to scold, but just you!) : /
Once again, it’s six degree of separation; regarding THE MASTER: Jim French! All roads seem to lead to him!
As you know, French photographed some models, solely for photosets and color slides. They weren’t included, in any of his major publications. Let me cite Blue Blake, Jon Iverson, Michael Christopher, and John Towers/Butch MaAlister, as a few examples – top of my head.
#1 and 2 – If wrong, someone can correct me. Are these two images from Colt? I hesitate, because in his Colt pictures, there’s no grey in his mustache – dyed? The photography also suggests Target Studio.
#5 – Here he is, in all his flagrant glory – I love this image! It’s so carnal and fleshy – nasty! I’ve seen this image before, but only in black & white – luscious! Thanks!

Here’s proof again, from a Colt Studio brochure (Feb. ’75?). Check out the far right column, close to the bottom. Since I’ve told you on numerous occasions, you should know that Jim French; would sometimes collect some models, from Playgirl magazine. The comment says:

I totally appreciate and admire, Bill Harrison/Ronnie Shark, as a porn icon. But physically, he just didn’t do it for me – too generic.
