Dave Connors
The above pic is an uncredited Dave Connors, from Numbers Magazine, February 1979 – Dave’s first film seems to have been Dirt Bikes (1978), but then there’s several years without any movies, until 1984 (The Biggest One I Ever Saw!, One In A Billion, Boys in the Sand 2, and One, Two, Three…. I realize release dates and production dates aren’t always the same, especially in porno, but this seems like quite a gap in a porn career. Any ideas?
update: Skimming through Wakefield Poole’s Dirty Poole, I see that while Boys In The Sand II was made in 1984, it was mired in legal troubles for a good 18 months, not being released until 1985 – despite lots of press, and coverage in the gay porno magazines in 1984. One, Two, Three…, inspired by an idea by Dave Connors, was actually made in 1985, and released at the same time as Boys II. Before the movies were released, Dave Connors was diagnosed with AIDS, and committed suicide only a few days after the he heard the diagnosis.
