Seed Money: The Chuck Holmes Story
“Chuck Holmes, founder of Falcon Studios and one of the founding fathers of the Human Rights Campaign. (I’ll try not to hold that against him!). Chuck Holmes built a gay porn empire, then used (some of) the money to (help) fund the gay rights movement — only to find that while his money was welcome, his association sometimes wasn’t.”
I can copy/paste with the best of them, but ask the BF, I loathe inaccuracies or exaggerations, so I had to add my two cents! I seriously doubt they meant to say all he earned through Falcon went to the movement, or that he (alone) funded the movement, but I can’t let it slide – despite knowing it’s not as slick a tagline with my additions! But they are looking for help to fund the making if this documentary, and I hope my slightly re-written version helps.
I just pledged! – it looks fascinating and I like being able to help out projects like this when I can.
So, check out the KICKSTARTER page for Seed Money: The Chuck Holmes Story – then facepage it, googleplug it, or better yet, pledge a few bucks (i’m looking forward getting my copy of the doc!)

Duffy’s Tavern
directed by: Lancer Brooks (1974)
Starring: Bob Eck, Nik Borg, Tom Clark, Frisco Phyl, Bill North, Joe Love
DeSimone’s early films always had great soundtracks – Duffy’s Tavern included Aretha Franklin’s “Respect, I Never Loved A Man” and “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man”; some Rolling Stones’ tunes (like It Hurts Me Too, Blow with Ry, Rocks Off, Let It Loose, and The Boudoir Stomp and of course this great bathroom blowjob to the tune of the Staple Singers’ “Respect Yourself”.
update: added the Stones tunes above – you can see more pornotunes over here – Vintage gay porn music master list part 2
