Surge Studios – flashback

So I’m working on a post involving Al Parker‘s 1981 film Flashback and notice these photographs with photographs in the background – clearly Al’s office or home office (perhaps Surge Studios has an office, why not?). Isn’t the one of Will Seagers from Wanted adorable?

The office could have been in his and Steve’s house, didn’t you conclude awhile back that the bathroom with the blue tile (seen in Surge’s One In A Billion and other films) was probably filmed at their home? Will Seagers was extremely sexy when he worked with Al and Joe Gage in L.A. Tool & Die, I read an article somewhere about his early porn work and he said he always thought he was an ugly teenager and was kind of self-conscious about it. Glad he got over that enough to share his body with the many gay guys who recognized what he didn’t.

Just found what I mentioned above I think, the site refuses to load for me as an https but there are pics and some bio info about Will, in case you never saw it before:

Look forward to your post on Flashback.

The big question is what happened to two scenes, the one pictured above and one with Mr. Parker, Noll, and a third guy in the mesh hammock. I haven’t seen them on any versions of the film.

it’s quite possible these pics, and the hammock were still photographs only – we’ve seen plenty of Surge Studios pics where the models never seem to have appeared in a film – BUT – I am seeing a slight discrepancy with the times for the complete film – 65 versus 68 minutes – slight, but makes me wonder…. could there be a longer version? could there be an 8MM loop that never made it to the VHS version?

ahhhhhhh – my initial response was going to be – sometimes the magazine shows stuff that never got filmed, or at least, wasn’t included in the final film – BUT – seeing running time of 72 minutes on GEVI’s listing for FLASHBACK,

but more importantly We Tarzans, You Boy, Oh Boy! with this notation: “Al Parker and Kip Knoll team up to give another young recruit a swing in Al Parker’s sling! [Troy McKenzie, in his article on “The Legacy of Kip Noll,” says that this film was not in later video releases of Flashback. Chris Noll and David Wilcox first appear as still photos that Al and Kip jerk off to but then the subjects become part of the action.]” – so, wonder if the DVD from Bijou…probably not – so on to find an older copy of the VHS???
