another post languishing in “drafts”; this one’s purpose was to post a couple of lesser seen J.D. Slater scenes.
I thought Slater’s appearance in HANDsome (1981) was his first porno movie. But I confused “presenting” with “introducing”, and according to Slater’s GEVI listing, he had 3 films released in 1981; so at the least, it’s one of his earliest. No matter, I love ALL of HANDsome!
Then we have A Night Alone with Al Parker released in 1988, but culled from older unreleased material. Doesn’t it have a Wanted (1980) feeling to it?

ahhhhh, maybe this helps my position that this is a scene from Wanted – “special guest director Steve Scott” – what other Scott film could be in this collection?

B&D Revealed (1976) – shot on location in a San Francisco bath house.
I think I thought I had a loop for this title, and it’s been in drafts for a couple years while I try to find it. Alas, time to give up – looks interesting, but the “bottom” we barely get a look at! He’s “revealed” in a tiny picture in the 6-page spread “Bathhouse” found in the Magnum Griffin publication Outtakes 1. But our top here, doesn’t he look like Ray Medina / Julio Campas ? Check out this pic of Ray / Julio – whadya think? especially if you look at his role in Rawhide (Rawhide results on BJland) or scroll down to the not so good quality clip.
(and before I try to find Ray in Tightropes 6: Beefcake Bodybuilders in Bondage and fall down another rabbit hole, let’s get this posted!)

Classic Bear – Director: Steve Landess (1996) 78 minutes running time
OK, OK – before you click on the clip – I have a vague memory of not liking Jack Radcliffe (if you do a website search, he’s probably mentioned 3 times in 20+ years!) – which is heresy for bear-men – and I can’t quite remember why! Something maybe in an interview, seemed too, too – I dunno, something! Having said that, I’m happy to have this Mickey clip, and I’ve got notes from when I sold it back in 2002, in the big, somewhat tattered original box (see pic above).
scene 3: Jack Radcliffe and Mickey Squires are hiking in the woods – Mickey sure can growl!

NOTES: Starring: Jack Radcliffe, Joe Thomas, Geoffrey Madison, Mike Snofield, Mickey Squires, Dominick Zurlo, and Curtis James (all but one guy is bearded – and he’s got a nice mustache)
scene 1: 2 bearded guys on a sleeping bag in the woods (one has reddish beard)
scene 2: 2 more bearded guys; one is pitching hay, is interrupted by a vocal guy in cowboy hat, who gets him to stop working
scene 3: Jack Radcliffe and Mickey Squires are hiking in the woods – Mickey sure can growl!
scene 4: Radcliffe joins a buddy in the shower
scene 5: Radcliffe sitting on some steps outside, with two other bears – when Jack leaves, the other two carry on with each other
I like this ad from HONCHO – – red-head just can’t resist Mickey!
this post has been in drafts for years! dusted it off after some comments over here regarding a Christopher Rage (Tray Christopher – more on that in yet Another post!) photo. Bits of a mess, but has lots of stuff – so here goes:

at some point SPUNK VIDEO re-released a bunch of CHristopher Rage titles, including this one – more importantly, they had the full 90-minutes, unlike the version I sold more than once (can’t recall if my big box oldest version was 70 or 90 minutes)
the following are notes from the last time I sold the video cassette, in about 2013:
Director: Christopher Rage (1983) – “precondom” – 70 minutes running time (edited version)
Starring: Colon Topar, Daniel Holt, Leslie Williams, Scorpio, Jim Davies, Bosch Wagner, Dwan, Jay Richards and Lorenzo Vidal
70 minutes running time
“Voted one of Drummer magazine’s “Best Videos of 1983,” the models here are seen playing with themselves and (having oral and anal) in various combinations until the film’s final episode, when they all turn up for an orgy.”
some highlights (from my eBay auction notes back in 2008):
I did not credit / nor do I remember where I lifted this description from – perhaps a review.

Anyone going to be in Rotterdam (that’s The Netherlands) end of January/beginning of February? If you are, take me with you! I mean, lucky you, be sure to check out –
from wohler films:
Mickey & Richard is an intimate portrait of iconic gay model Mickey Squires, told in his own words. From the makers of Raw! Uncut! Video!, the documentary explores the challenges of maintaining a personal identity while coexisting with a porn star alter ego. Filmed on 16mm and constructed from a treasure trove of erotic archival materials, the film journeys through 50 years of LGBTQ+ history while examining one man’s struggle to find meaningful connection through the world of adult entertainment. (70 min, 2026)
I think this is the World Premiere!
Mickey & Richard will be at the 55th International Film Festival Rotterdam: 29 January – 8 February 2026
from the Festival’s site: “A portrait of 80s gay porn icon Mickey Squires and the man who performed him, Richard Bernstein, which turns from a fringe-film historical documentary into an essay on the mysteries and unpredictabilities of acting as a key activity in all our lives.”
from the men who brought us Raw! Uncut! Video! (the link should go to Kanopy – and if you have a Kanopy account, and haven’t already checked out Raw! Uncut! Video! – do it now!) a documentary about Mickey Squires. So excited for this!

gosh I want this poster! and check out the credits- Dark Entries / Josh Cheon; Steven Toushin / Bijou Video; Patrick Cowley; and of course the directors/producers: Ryan A. White and A.P. Pickle.

Scene 3 from The Grease Monkeys (1979)
Lee Marlin puts the “grease” in Grease Monkeys ; getting oral service under a car from Ricky Shaw , in Ricky’s first (and possibly only) film. Lee barks orders as the radio plays Edgar Winter Group’s Frankenstein (I erroneously thought is was from AWB – Average White Band! when I posted a description in an eBay sale of the video) . They slowly pull off more clothes, as Lee hold’s onto a grease gun and it spills all over them as Lee finishes up on his new buddy.

what’s wrong with this picture?Bijou can produce this promo, but not a decent DVD cover picture?
