Have I ever made a “tag” for “El Paso Wrecking Corp.”?

probably not a bad idea, but exhausting! and this teaser pic, where I haven’t included the actual cover pic, or inside pic, of Mr. Halsted? An experiment, as I keep forgetting that the wordpress program automatically resizes images, so I can leave larger file sizes for folks to right click on and view, or save, bigger. Or if on your phone or tablet, you can do that 2 finger thing. No, not THAT 2 finger thing! dirty minds!

Actually, I really liked looking at Richard Locke and Clay Russell – and seeing how much taller Richard is! Is the text saying the 3rd man (with clothes on) is Same Gage?

PLAYGUY (#15)

I don’t usually do magazine covers (or rather, I crop the words, and prefer pic only) but this grabbed me, and cropping wouldn’t do.

Jared Benson from “El Paso Wrecking Corp.”(Dec 1977) – click the link for other mentions, including the beginning of a “did he only do one film” Q with a pic link that may (or may not) be him (bearded!) thread (where’s the actual post, as opposed to a single pic, please!)

alos of interest, of course, is that inside, there’s more from “El Paso Wrecking Corp.” – Mike Morris, Keith Anthoni and Ken Brown – Clay Russell, Richard Locke – and good quality scans – or just owning the magazine (at an affordable price) would be nice

Joe Gage – VHS? – yes

so yeah, you know I am sorting and scanning and culling and mulling and trying to sell all I can let go of, and guess what? I find an old VHS small box El Paso Wrecking Corp. that’s actually the full 90 minutes!!! But of course I have to be sure, and plug it into the VCR – and then go over to the DVD player and plug in the recently re-released 3- disc Joe Gage Trilogy disc of El Paso….. and my old VHS copy, not only complete and the DVD isn’t (missing like 20+ minutes) but the color and quality is still much better! And I wasted so much time just watching it, and going back in my head to the old movie theaters…. but also yelling at the DVD version for skipping important stuff like Halsted throwing the guy through the window, the whole Mike Morris scene missing, but loving the set up to….anyway…. check out the auction, give the page a couple of hits.

And I also have an extra copy of the never-been-released-on-DVD out-of-print, BJ’s-favorite-(porn)movie-of-all-time Heatstroke, and that’s up there on eBay as well

Reel Two

The Motorcyclist and the Harvard Man

Connecting the main characters (Richard Locke and Fred Halsted) with the next scene, Fred nearly hits bicyclist Keith Anthoni. Keith makes his way further down the road until he finds Ken Brown sitting in his stalled car. Keith offers to help and the two start fantasizing about having sex with each other (and if you pay close attention, some others). The version most of you have seen is a bit choppy, including most if not all of the DVD versions – it’s missing about 2-1/2 minutes of footage) ( I have yet to confirm if the most recent collection that has the “Trilogy” all in one package, has this unedited scene). Basically they had to edit out the piss – which is rough since the repeated mantra from Keith Anthoni is “might as well take a piss while I’m here” (and by the way strongly suspect that’s not Keith’s voice in the scene – but I digress) – at least after the ladies who ran TMX (topman Video-X) ran afoul of the law when the version they distributed contained the full, unedited theatrical version. So, anyway… while not the best quality, clicking one of the pics below will get you the full scene.
