Christmas presence

Another tradition! a clip from Navy Blue – Classic story: two guys in the Navy on a 12-hour leave in NYC, each secretly in love with the other, but can’t bare to admit it to the other and risk jeopardizing their friendship. They part ways, and Jack Wrangler is trying to enjoy site-seeing on his own, but loses himself in thought looking at one of the Christmas-decorated windows, imagining a romantic encounter with his buddy, 70’s bearded hunk George Payne, complete with disco-theme music, of course.

NAVY BLUE

director: Francis Ellie (1979)

Starring: George Payne & Jack Wrangler; plus Brian Ray (Santa); , Giuseppe Welsh (helicopter), Adam DeHaven, Kurt Mann, Snapper Foster, Derek Thurston, and Anna Freed

Magic Fly, from SPACE – here’s the version I’ve always assumed was in the film, Magic Fly.

This is also the film with the wonderful Jack Wrangler blowjob in the helicopter flying over Manhattan skyline scene.

Lonesome, On’ry and Mean

A couple quick things regarding Le Voyeur (1982)

  • sorry its got that crawl over it (my vhs copy is buried somewhere – would appreciate a clean digital version !); but is there a better opening sequence in vintage gay porn?
  • This tune – Lonesome, On’ry and Mean, from Steve Young;
  • adorable and would’ve never been in a Falcon film in the 70’s, 80’s or even today – one film for bear Pete Connors (who we see off and on, and a quick scene topping Johnny Kovacs) – see below
  • more music to be discovered
  • how did Daniel Holt get billing above Pete??!
  • Oh, and can you name the bars, whether any are still around?
  • and finally, did Pete walk at that pace all the way from the West Village to West 49th Street?

SLATER4U

“An in-tight, inside, insightful interview with bad-bay genius J.D. Slater by Clayton Winfield”; originally published in Drummer 152 (1991)

I will admit to not yet reading the interview in its entirety; but I pulled it out of the drafts folder in order to have a post go up. There’s some here about J.D.’s directing.

Speaking of, Hard was his directorial debut. That movie also had a theme song by J.D., and was another of the many movies cut down from its original length (87 minutes) to a shorter version (72 minutes) in subsequent releases by HIS video.

I like this pic of Val Martin (by David Sparrow) – this may sound odd, but we don’t often get a straight on good look at his cock like this one.

wanted

as you know, I am always on the hunt for new (vintage) material, and while other people’s scans can be great, sometimes I like to own the hardcopy. It’s definitively gotten out of hand (ask the husbear) the porn closet and porn cellar are filling up – but at the right price, these are examples of what’s on my wishlist/wanted list.

Above, first issue of Manscape 2 is on the list – cover model KIME POWELL of course, and having that first issue! The other issues I have from Manscape 2 often have Starbuck/Target Studios photography, and other more vintage pics than the publication date of the specific issue.

Soho Studios – I believe there are at least 4 issues – Rough Riders (with Justin Cade and another cowboy), that one above with the blank banner (which I think is Getting off at the Rocks), Shooting the Falls (with Vince Bruno), and Hot Tub (also with Justin Cade)

September 1987 issue of Uncut should have a spread on Max Montoya – and there ain’t a lot of good pics around, so hoping this has stuff I haven’t seen, or at least better quality
