I doubt it will take you long to figure out why this is in my “pet peeve” category – not as annoying as missing or chopped up scenes from vintage films, of course, but… a cover model who is NOT in the film??? And a hot and desirable one at that?
That’s the cassette of the video I sold back in 2006 – and from my notes:

- “this video opens with sex at a private club for uncircumcised men. The script relates a new member (Terry Long) to the club for uncut guys getting an evening-long lecture by the club clerk on foreskin, guys who enjoy foreskin, other members, and life in general. The monologue allows for the various action to be fraweworked into the film. With a video screen of anonymous penises (both excellent and real) flashing by to the clerk and the new member, the flick has ten separate sex scenes: seven are solo masturbation sequences, the other three are brief couplings. The cast is a mixture of older and younger, Caucasian and black, and some who are really hung. The videography and editing in U.N.C.U.T. are above par – an obvious fetish video for skin fans.” – Bijou Video

I normally CROP off the words, but wanted to demonstrate one of my pet peeves – pics where the dick is nearly (or partially) off the page! why not have some more space to frame the genital area? and not photography credits, or “art director’s” fancy splash of color or half-assed frame! I mean, look at that cockhead, with a little bit just nibbled off by a poor photographer or editor!

The Devil and Mr. Jones
First Avenue Screening Room opened in 1973, but by March of 1975 it was renamed Byron Theatre when it began showing gay porn, opening with The Devil and Mr. Jones. This is cover art for my copy of the video, but, alas, I don’t have a “BETA cover art” category (I don’t have a BETA player; but nabbed this and perhaps 3 or 4 others over the years as the word was that BETA was better quality than VHS.), so shoving this into the VHS, and of course the “pet peeve” category – just check the cover, there’s a large version of the front if you need help with what the pet peeve could be in this case.

I was just going to post the one pic, based on the film – Tony’s Inititation (1983) on GEVI – and then I thought to add another, and then went searching for a clip.

Turns out I sold my copy back in 2005; I now have a digital copy, but alas it is only 60 minutes, and my notes from 2005 says it’s 84 minutes – that’s a big chunk missing, which includes at a minimum, the final scene with Michael Christopher ( who I like) and Tim Kramer (who I kinda loathe). So, we may just have to enjoys these stills of beautiful Beau Matthews.

Only one film, Sol? Sometimes New York Men is attributed to Arch Brown, but Arch is credited in the film only as the editor; would love to know more about this solitary effort (as far as I know) that includes some giants in gay porn at the time – Eric Ryan, Lee Marlin, and J.D. Slater (OK, J D was just getting started) in these dream / orgy sequences. And we get 2 pet peeves in one post!!! – a missing scene, and box cover art that is misleading (erroneously putting photos of pornstars not actually seen in the video).
The first clip is the opening 10 minutes of the E-Z Rider version of the film; and you’ll also see the box cover art below (extra credit for ID’ing the stars, and the actual film the photos are from). WARNING – if like me you are not into str8sex scenes, you may want to FF (fast forward, smartasses!) that part. It’s part of the plot, Eric Ryan’s wife, so it makes sense, but, just not for me. But take a quick look at it before jumping down to the actual first scene. While I did sell my Mustang Studios 70-mintues version of the film (but the VHS cassette is shown below); alas I have these lo-res version of both the 63-minute EZ-Rider, and 70-minute Mustang version to get these clips from. And then of course, included in the soundtrack – Oxygene, Pt. 2 from Jean-Michel Jarre. one of the most used tunes in early 80’s gay porn! I don’t doubt theres more uncredited music. SO you are actually viewing scene 2 first, then scroll down for the actual opening sequence.
