from TARGET: JAVELIN #1 (1975) – with models like Bruno, Chuck Samson, Brand, Dino, Reb, Barry, Nick, Zack, Dennis Johnson, Steve Packard – who is this? (Retrostuds has him ID’d as Dutch Rainer) That name pops up again in TARGET ALBUM #1, (1981), the 1982 Target Calendar (which as I am typing and researching I realize I sold back in 2005! Nooooooo!), and some 1981 photosets – no known film work
and of course our buddy over at Retrostuds has plenty more from Javelin #1 – but I only see the one page of this guy.

So I’m working on a post involving Al Parker‘s 1981 film Flashback and notice these photographs with photographs in the background – clearly Al’s office or home office (perhaps Surge Studios has an office, why not?). Isn’t the one of Will Seagers from Wanted adorable?

In this opening scene, Kyle Carrington wins a swim meet and is interviewed by TV reporter Doug Weston in the lockerroom.
From what I can tell, Carrington’s porno career is limited to 2 original movies – Tough Competition and Popular Mechanics; scenes from which make up a 3rd, The All-American Man; and then those same scenes find their way in at least 8 other compilation tapes. In some newer versions of Tough Competition, notably from MIDNIGHT MEN, it does not have the full-length solo of Carrington in bed and in front of a dresser mirror oiling up. The music is provided by Rutherford Sound.
